Travel and parking
The Reifensteiner Rittertage take place directly below Reifenstein Castle, near Sterzing/Vipiteno. By car, travel from Sterzing/Vipiteno towards Brixen/Bressanone and follow the signs for Reifenstein Castle / Castel Tasso. Parking is available below the castle. From there, a short walk leads to the event grounds. You can also reach the event by public transport. Bus line 310 stops at “Abzweigung Elzenbaum”. From there, the event grounds can be reached on foot. The entrance will be signposted on site.
Accessibility
The event grounds are located mainly on a meadow below Reifenstein Castle. Please expect uneven ground, grassed areas and unpaved paths in some places. For this reason, the site has limited accessibility. If you are visiting with a wheelchair or walking aid, please contact us in advance. We will be happy to provide information about the current conditions and the most suitable way to access the event grounds. For pushchairs, we recommend an all-terrain model where possible. Sturdy footwear is generally advisable.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on the event grounds. They must be kept on a lead at all times and may not enter restricted areas, combat arenas or private camp areas. Please also bear in mind that a medieval event can occasionally get quite loud. The programme may include cannon fire, drums, music and other loud sounds. Owners of dogs that are sensitive to noise should take this into consideration and decide whether attending the event is suitable for their dog.
Weather
The Reifensteiner Rittertage are an outdoor event. Please dress according to the weather forecast and bring suitable protection from the sun or rain where necessary. In the event of severe weather, individual programme items may be changed, postponed or suspended for safety reasons. If necessary, current information will be published on our website and social media channels.
